Why Do I Need This?
Say you're an Amazon author in the U.S. - like me. You have written a book. You go to Amazon.com, grab the link to your book's Kindle page, and send it to all of your friends.
If you sent them all your Amazon.com link that looks like this - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DMMMZZJ3 - then if one of your friends lives in Australia, they will go to the Amazon.com US website for your page, and not to their local Australian Amazon website (which has a .com.au in the domain, like this: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0DMMMZZJ3).
So after they've landed on Amazon.com US website, they have to change the .com in the website URL to .com.au if they want to buy your book or leave you a review.
